Still alive

Okay, so... I have a life, okay? Apparently having one is quite time-consuming. I'm still a huge geek and a fangirl, and still need buckets for drool from time to time.

It's just so much easier to gush and squee in real life, without having to write it in a blog - where's the impulsiveness in that? I'm not even sure if I have any followers left, and that definetely demotivates me.

Still, I'm going to keep writing this blog. It's good for my English skills, and... Well, I can't really think of any other good reasons. It's fun, or at least it's supposed to be. And how else am I supposed to keep track on the movies I want to see, or have seen (well, Movielens works for the latter one).

My last update was about the movies I want to see. ("both" parts of The Hobbit, eh?).

These I have seen:

  • Iron Sky: Wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be. Loved the lead actress, though.

  • The Hunger Games: Saw it on Blu-Ray. Liked it quite much, and now I want to read the books.
  • The Avengers: Seen this, once in a theatre and twice on Blu-Ray. Loving it! Oh, Loki, why you so adorable? Oh Tony and Bruce, why your bromance so adorable? (See, blogging does wonders to my English, yeah...)

  • Thor: Saw this before The Avengers (on Blu-Ray), and it was a good thing that I did, because otherwise it would have been a bit hard to follow Avengers from time to time. And I would have missed good Loki scenes, too! (No, I'm definitely not drooling over Loki / Tom Hiddleston! That's a silly idea!)

  • The Cabin in the Woods: Fantastic horror movie, not too scary (though I did scream at least once in the theatre) and funny enough. Joss Whedon knows what he's doing.

  • Dark Shadows: Okay, so Burton and Depp have done better movies. Many of them. This was entertaining, but something was missing. I'm glad I waited until this was released on Blu-Ray.

  • Prometheus: I know, I know, it's not a good movie. I've read the reviews and seen the YouTube rants. Still, I liked it. It took me a while to undestand why. It's basically a monster movie! You know the genre; stupid scientists, stupid plotholes, gore and monsters, more stupidity... So many things are wrong that I just love watching it and pointing out the mistakes they make.

  • The Dark Knight Rises: It was good, but not as good as the previous one. I don't know, it made me feel a bit like Matrix Revolutions after Matrix Reloaded. Too much something, and too little something else.

  • The Looper: Still not sure what to think about all that time traveling stuff, but all in all, I liked the movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt does amazing job, and Bruce Willis isn't so bad either.

  • The Hobbit: Seen it. Twice. It deserves an entry of its own.

These I haven't seen:

  • Pirates!: Might still see this, though. At least I haven't heard anything about it that would be a turn-off.

  • Men In Black III: Not sure if I want to see this or not. Perhaps I will, if the opportunity arises.

  • The Amazing Spider-Man: Probably won't see this, the reviews weren't so good.

These I want to see:

  • Iron Man 3: Hell yeah I'm going to see this!

  • Cloud Atlas: The trailer looks so enchanting that I really want to see the whole movie.

  • Star Trek Into Darkness: I'm not a Trekkie, and haven't even seen the series or the old movies, but I did see the new one, and I liked it. And because this one has Benedict Cumberbatch in it, I really can't resist.

  • Warm Bodies: Lovely premise and promising trailer, cute lead actor. Need I say more?

  • The World's End: The final piece in Simon Pegg's and Nick Frost's "The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy". I've waited for this for so long.

  • The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug: Oh yeah!

  • The Hobbit: There and Back Again: This one, too!

These I might see:

  • Oz the Great and Powerful: I like the idea, but I'm not sure how they're going to pull it off. Or if there's going to be a 2D release.

  • Man of Steel: I'm not really a Superman fan, and the last film wasn't so good. Whether I'm going to see this or not is depending quite much on the reviews.
